MICHELE FOSS
My name is Michele (Lutz) Foss. I am a 6th grade teacher here at Morning Son Christian School. I grew up in Elbow Lake and graduated from West Central High School. I went on to Fergus Falls Community College and then earned my degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. I taught 5 years at the Fergus Falls Middle School and then got married to my husband David Foss. We moved to Fullerton, California where we lived for 4 years. I taught 5th grade at Fern Drive Elementary in Fullerton and also earned my master’s degree from Biola University in La Mirada, CA. We moved back to Fergus Falls after the birth of our first child, Olivia. I was a stay-at-home mom and piano teacher for 7 years before coming to Morning Son. My husband and I have 2 children, Olivia and Micah.
My philosophy of education is simple…I believe all children can learn. We are all created differently but all have great capacities to learn. I encourage each child to work hard and do their best. I will set the bar high and with great effort and encouragement, they can reach that bar. When the learning environment is positive and where there is fun mixed with hard work, the results are tremendous.
I love teaching at Morning Son Christian School. Not only are the academics challenging, but the students are taught through a Christian world view. They leave here knowing they were created in God’s image and challenged through his Word to grow daily in Him.
