I was born and raised in Fergus Falls playing most every sport with my older brother and neighborhood friends and narrowed it down to hockey and track in high school. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, and when I went off to college at the University of North Dakota, physical education seemed like the perfect fit for me. After graduation I moved to Minneapolis where I substitute taught and coached in Edina. While subbing I discovered the option to teach Adapted Physical Education, and enrolled in a Graduate Program at the University of Minnesota where I could add D/APE to my license. In the fall of 2009, I had the opportunity to move back to Fergus Falls and teach where I grew up. My schedule allows me to teach at all levels and I absolutely love it. In July 2010 I married my husband Matt, and we look forward to coaching the High School Girls Hockey team this winter.
