Mrs. Hobbs-Music

Val Hobbs

Teaching music at Morning Son is fantastic! I so enjoy the children and staff of MSCS, especially leading them in worship at our weekly chapel.

I received my Music Education degree from Concordia College, in Moorhead, MN and love to teach. Over several years I have grown passionately in my desire to see all people Worship the One and only True and Living God. Teaching at Morning Son allows me to do both.

When I’m not teaching at Morning Son, I am leading the music and worship ministry of my church, the Naz. I am married to Talmadge Hobbs, a transplanted Southern gentleman, who is a true partner in life and ministry. When I married him I became a wife, a stepmom and a grandma. (ask me about Kaylyn May Hobbs : )

I was raised in Fergus Falls, graduating from Hillcrest Lutheran Academy, Fergus Falls Community College and Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. I taught elementary music in Roseau, MN and served as a Residence Director/Music Educator/Worship Leader at Prairie Bible Institute, in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada. I enjoyed three wonderful years in Abbotsford, British Columbia teaching K-12 music at Valley Christian School, frequenting the ocean walks for personal retreat, before returning to Fergus Falls.
