General Purpose
It is the goal of Morning Son Christian School to provide a quality education based on Christian principals found in the Scriptures. We seek to use Biblical examples to illustrate and reinforce educational objectives in each subject area. We provide an atmosphere in the classroom that supports Christian family values and nurtures individual spiritual growth and Christian character development. The staff and administration expect to provide good examples and have a positive influence on the students during this impressionable state of the student’s youth. It is our prayer that each child will have developed to his/her fullest potential spiritually, emotionally, physically, socially and intellectually by having had the opportunity to work and study with Morning Son Christian School.
School Philosophy
As a vital interdenominational ministry of the First Church of the Nazarene, Morning Son provides a Christian education opportunity for students in preschool through sixth grade. Morning Son Christian School represents a partnership among students, parents, faculty, administration, and staff. These partners are united in their commitment to the common objectives in the Mission statement.
Morning Son Christian School believes it is called to provide a safe and trusting learning environment where each child is valued and challenged to grow academically, physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually while experiencing an atmosphere of respect, fairness, discipline and appropriate instruction. The MSCS staff believes that every child can best reach their full potential in a Christian atmosphere where each child is helped to discover his/her uniqueness as a child of God and awareness of the grace and forgiveness offered them through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Morning Son Christian School ultimately strives to prepare its students to accept the privileges and responsibilities of citizenship in a democratic society that honors and respects our Lord Jesus Christ.
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom” - Colossians 34:16a
